About UNESCO Guatemala

The UNESCO Representative Office in Guatemala focuses its work on peace-building and sustainable development through Education, Science, Culture and Communication and Information. Both objectives involve achieving social goals and balances for inclusion, dignity and respect for the human rights of all, with particular emphasis on working with the most vulnerable sectors of the country. The contribution made by our Office is in line with the Organization's areas of competence, so it's presence and technical support in the areas of Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Culture and Communication and Information is significant and strategic.
